Senior Childrens Support Worker
Are you experienced working with children within 5-18 years old.
Supporting and nurturing children to live a fulfilled life, through showing empathy and respecting children s wishes, which is fundamental in helping to understand behaviours and building positive relationships.
Based in Burton On Trent the aims to offer a high quality service for children and young people with emotional behavioural difficulties.

Working as part of a team for a specialist provider of care to Children and Young People in residential settings who s philosophy is to support young individuals from all backgrounds and to provide them with a safe & stable home environment.
The overall aims is to support children and young people develop and learn life skills, enjoy and achieve and be the best versions of themselves. The children & young people you support may experience social, emotional and behaviour difficulties due to their past life experiences.
A Residential Care Practitioner is responsible for supporting children and young people achieve their best possible outcomes in order to live a fulfilling life within a safe and nurturing environment.
The Rota is designed to provide the best possible support to the young people.
Shift patterns are 1 on 2 off and include sleeps, however, there needs to be flexibility around the needs of the home as and when required.
What we are looking for:
Must have Level 3 or 4 Salary GBP27500 plus GBP60 per sleep in Help to maintain a clean environment within the home and undertaking health & safety duties as required. General household duties include cooking, cleaning, shopping, laundry. The ability to form, maintain appropriate working relationships with the young people. Use positive behaviour support strategies and appropriate boundaries to support young people who may display challenging behaviours as a result of past traumas. To know and understand each young person s health plan and work to its objectives. Also, to adhere to the procedures, and recording of, safe administration of medication. To support children and young people to attend appointments, promote self-care, healthy lifestyle choices and good hygiene. Organize/supervise/partake in activities with young people and that these activities are appropriately risk assessed. To accompany young people on holidays, away from the home.
