Haresfield is a specialist residential home just outside of Chippenham for young people aged eight to eighteen, with learning disabilities, complex needs, and behaviours that may challenge.

Join us and you can expect:

  • £10.75 - £12.00 per hour- Can we just not add depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Working towards QCF level 3 £10.60 per hour
  • QCF Level 3, less than 2 years’ experience £10.80 per hour
  • QCF Level 3, 2 years’ experience £11.20 per hour
  • QCF Level 3, 2 years’ experience and specialist training £11.50 per hour- I am not sure this is needed.
  • Bank Holiday £16.12 - £18.00 per hour
  • Holiday top-up payments made for regular overtime (T&C's)
  • Free meal provided on shift (when young people are in the service)
  • Paid break

Shifts

  • Working 7.00-23.00 on a rota pattern (3 days a week average 40 hours per week)
  • Regular paid sleep in’s from 23.00-7.00
  • Part of the on call rota

Training and Development

  • Funded apprenticeships and diplomas
  • Accredited Positive Behaviour Management Training
  • Mandatory Training Provided
  • All employees are required to attain level 3 diploma for residential care within 2 years of their start date. This can be completed as an apprenticeship which can be funded by us through our Autonomy Academy.- Not needed

Job description

  • Socialising with our young people and creating fun and engaging activities and home events
  • Helping the young people to develop life skills to include cooking and support in the kitchen during mealtimes as well as supporting with personal care where needed.
  • Assisting with fantastic days out with our young people
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Complete relevant documentation
  • Attending reviews and completion of reports for them

About you

You will:

  • Have experience working with children and young people or adults with complex needs and behaviours that challenge
  • Will hold a QCF Level 3 in children and young people residential childcare or equivalent
  • Hold a valid driving licence with access to a vehicle- not needed
  • Live within a 20-mile radius of Chippenham, Wiltshire
