This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main MEH, cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's two thousand five hundred rooms.
The Role
As a Senior Surveyor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Day to day, you will be responsible for the ensuring that all surveying activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations. This will also include providing accurate centreline and level datum's to enable accurate installation of equipment, supports and Piping/Electrical/HVAC systems, alongside conducting surveys on pipe spools to provide as fabricated data including bolt hole rotations and flange deflections.
Other responsibilities include:
- Manage team to ensure all surveying activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations
- Management of reporting on surveying activities within the Erection Areas
- Ensure any supplied setting out data to check design co-ordinates against the site grid system is accurate and available
- Provide quality checks on control set ups and point accuracy
- Establish and maintain survey control networks throughout the site
This is a permanent full-time role contracted at 37-hours per week. The role follows a nine-day fortnight arrangement, on-site at the Hinkley Point C.
Essential experience of the Senior Surveyor:
- Experience in the use of survey equipment (Total Station, digital level) and the production of survey reports.
- Starnet software experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of CDM regulations
- AUTOCAD experience
- Use of Leica instruments
Qualifications for the Senior Surveyor:
- Relevant Surveying or Engineering qualifications or considerable experience
The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
