Senior Surveyor/Contract Supervisor

Salary £39,721.50 - £43,602
Our client is a charitable housing association with over 50 years of experience in providing affordable and sustainable housing. They are seeking a Surveyor to lead their surveying team, managing planned, cyclical, and compliance works across the South West
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a professional, proactive, and customer-focused surveying team
- Manage planned and cyclical maintenance services
- Oversee budgets and ensure financial control and value for money
- Implement effective contract management systems
- Ensure compliance with legislation and safety standards
- Develop consistent component specifications
- Deliver customer-focused services, incorporating feedback
- Establish monitoring and reporting systems for service delivery
- Support policy and process development for efficient services
- Manage a rolling programme of condition surveys
- Enforce standards of behaviour, Health and Safety, and customer service
- Lead on systems, data, performance, and policy issues for service improvement
Requirements:
- Experience in responsive repairs, planned investment, cyclical, empty homes, and reactive maintenance
- Knowledge of building systems, operations, and trades
- Awareness of building contracts and statutory requirements
- Understanding of maintenance schedules, housing repairs legislation, and Health and Safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in a building/maintenance discipline (minimum NVQ level 4)
- Building Management qualification (RICS or CIOB) (Desirable)
- Record of training in management and leadership skills (Desirable)
- Up-to-date continuing professional development
