Form of work Role Title: NetBackup L3 Design Engineering and LLD My client a leader in their field are on the lookout for a Senior Consultant to join their expanding team on an initial 18 month contract working 2 days a week out of their Sheffield offices and 3 days remote.
Required Core Skills: NetBackup Installation and Configuration: Hands-on experience with NetBackup v10 advanced installation and configuration, preferably Veritas certified.
Appliance Expertise: Familiarity with Veritas Appliances, FLEX Appliance, and Data Domain appliances.
SLP Replication and OST Integration: Detailed knowledge of SLP replication and OST integration with Data Domain storage platforms, along with MTREE replication experience.
Nice to Have Skills: Effective Communication: Strong communication skills in verbal and written English.
Analytical Skills: Good analytical and troubleshooting skills, ability to think logically through problems.
Detailed Job Description: Perform NetBackup v10 advanced installation & configuration with at least 5 years of hands-on experience, preferably Veritas certified.
Experience with Veritas Appliances, FLEX Appliance, and Data Domain appliances.
Logging calls with hardware and software vendors, progressing issues through to resolution.
Proactively raise issues with internal teams and external vendors.
Strong understanding of networking technologies including VLAN tagging, network segregation, and Quality of Service.
Create low-level design documentation, instructional documentation, and present to technical and non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of Puppet and Ansible deployed across Windows and Linux platforms.
Understanding of data protection solutions for Linux, Windows, Oracle, and VMware, including deployment and troubleshooting.
Experience with customer deployments exceeding 50,000 endpoints.
Support environments with multiple NBU primary server domains and hundreds of media servers.
Operate within controlled environments, adhering to strict change management and role elevation criteria.
Flexibility to work across time zones as required.
Additional Skills: Effective communication skills in verbal and written English.

Self-driven and able to work independently or within a team.
Confidence to speak out and voice opinions when necessary.
