Belcan is seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our client's team in Warrington. Our client is a leading provider of civil and industrial construction and engineering services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the technical delivery of projects, from inception to completion. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to project management.

Overview:

You will lead the technical delivery of projects, ensuring strict adherence to scope, budget, and time-scale targets. Collaborating closely with the Project Manager and engineering team, you will drive project progress and actively mitigate risks. Responsibilities also include efficiently allocating tasks, supervising team members, and monitoring progress. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the development of new technologies through prototyping and fostering innovation. Providing training, mentorship, and support to junior engineers, alongside contributing to business development efforts and aiding automation sales and proposals teams.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in developing integrated control system solutions.
• Comprehensive understanding of the full project life cycle, from specification to commissioning.
• Hands-on experience with PLC and SCADA systems (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, AVEVA).
• Proficiency in control panels, electrical installation, and instrumentation solutions.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration.
