SalaryKirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of St John's (CE) Primary Academy
To be a creative and effective Teaching Assistant.
To be a team player and a positive thinker who can inspire children to learn and who believes that every child can succeed.
Successful experience in working in a school environment with children of primary school age.
Passion and initiative in the creation and delivery of stimulating learning opportunities.
Ability to relate well to children and other adults.
Ability to support and deliver learning which includes involvement in planning cycle, undertaking evaluation and cover supervision.
Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.
Ability to constantly improve own practice/knowledge through self-evaluation and learning from others.
Ability to use ICT effectively to support and deliver small group learning sessions and ability to use other technology equipment.
Working knowledge of national/foundation stage curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies.
Willingness to undertake First Aid Qualification and other relevant training.
It is essential that applicants should have NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience.
Recent experience in Upper Key Stage 2 is desirable.
