Senior Technical Operations Engineer

• Hybrid Working Model (3 days in the office)
• €60,000/Year + 10% Bonus + Benefits
• Dublin 8 Location

 This is a role where the Senior Technical Operations Engineeraims to oversee the entire range of IT-dependent products and services. The team you will be part of is responsible for consistently delivering high-quality assurance, customer service, and IT build services, ensuring they are effective, efficient, customer-oriented, and safe. The ideal profile for this position should poses a good mix of broad range of hands-on technical skills, with strong operational support experience. 

Your Responsibilities:

• Detection, diagnosis and resolution of incidents/problems
• Develop & perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on all services
• Assess planned changes for operational or other impacts
• Successful achievement of service availability targets
• Follow the agreed processes to ensure assurance of service
• Carry out tasks/projects as required by IT management

Your Experience & Education:

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a team supporting complex business support systems
• High level of proficiency in the following areas:
  • Scripting technologies (Python, Perl, etc) for task automation
  • Open source databases such as MongoDB, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, etc
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, and/or Ubuntu
• Familiarity with
  • Prometheus
  • Grafana
  • Kibana
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Keycloak
  • RabbitMQ
  • Swagger
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of operational best practices in a public-facing always-available environment
• Proven understanding of IT Services/Applications/Protocols
• Strong knowledge of service management guiding principles
