Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Telecommunications Specialist with a strong background in the financial sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience managing PSTN networks, SIP trunks, IP PBX, SBC, CUCM systems, and third-party voice recording systems. This role is crucial for maintaining the design, integrity, implementation, and configuration of our client’s NTR compliance phone recording system.

Expertise in NICE NTR recording systems and Centera compliance storage.

Day-to-day of the role:
Design and manage the NTR compliance phone recording system, recording servers, and compliance storage.
Implement and configure NICE phone recording systems and manage their compliance storage.
Administer digital telecommunications systems including SIP trunks, IP PBX, SBC, and CUCM.
Oversee VOIP service provider contracts and manage associated fees and lines.
Lead on IP routing and firewall management.
Design and build telecommunications servers and support the telecommunications networks.
Drive and implement voice telecommunication projects, including server builds and the implementation of switches and routers.
Produce and maintain high-standard technical diagrams.
Diagnose problems and lead resolutions.
Manage people and work independently.
Formulate telecommunications strategies and present to senior executives.
Project management and timely reporting to management.
Work with business users on requirements.
Provide 24/7 support for incidents as needed.
Maintain awareness of regulatory markets, competitive environment, and current technology developments.
Manage third-party suppliers responsible for delivering services.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

Expertise in NICE NTR recording systems and Centera compliance storage.

Proficiency in CUCM administration.
Experience in implementing, managing, and administrating digital telecommunications systems.
Ability to manage VOIP service providers and contracts.
Strong understanding of IP routing and firewalls.
Capability to design and build telecommunications servers.
Experience in project management and technical documentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead resolutions.
Strong communication skills and ability to manage people.
Ability to formulate strategies and present to senior executives.
Willingness to be available 24/7 for incident handling.
Special Role Requirements:
Flexibility to work from home 2 days per week, with the ability to come to the office as needed.
Contactable 24/7.
Availability for occasional weekend and Bank Holiday project work.
