Senior Theatre Practitioner Required in Windsor - Up To 44,500
Location: Windsor
Working Hours: 37.5 per week, Permanent Position
Salary: Up to 44,500 (dependent on experience, training, and qualifications)

We are currently seeking a dedicated Senior Theatre Practitioner to become an integral part of our Theatre department team. This full-time position requires 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible shift pattern.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Post-registration qualification relevant to functional specialty, such as Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification (for scrub leads).
  • ENB 998 and/or mentorship course.
  • Approved/recognized anaesthetic course.
  • ILS certification.
  • Orthopaedic skill.
  • Mentorship qualification.
  • ILM3 certification.
  • Previous experience in an acute healthcare environment.
  • Previous experience in managing and leading a clinical team.
  • Experience as a Theatre Practitioner, with a focus on either ophthalmics or major orthopaedics.

Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Deliver safe and high-quality care for patients during the peri-operative phase of care.
  • Support, coordinate, and actively assist in the management and organization of care within the operating department.
  • Provide planned care for patients during their peri-operative phase by ensuring the delivery of quality patient care through appropriate clinical and managerial leadership.
  • Lead the delivery of patient care during a list or specified period.
  • Ensure adherence to patient safety checks according to policy.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of self and others.
  • Promote best evidence-based practice within the scope of practice.
  • Apply legislation, policies, and procedures correctly.
