Senior Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be working with one of the UK's leading property consultancies on the appointment of a Senior Planner to their team in Edinburgh (though the candidate can be accommodated from the Glasgow or Perth offices). This is a full-time position.
This particular team specialise in the energy sector and so the successful Senior Planner can expect to work with a range of clients such as major energy utilities providers, network providers, private generators and waste companies. These include site search and evaluation, environmental impact assessment, planning, Development Consent Order (DCO) and Electricity Act applications, Section 106 negotiations, planning appeals and due diligence.
The company has many offices across the UK and has a high number of Directors / Board members who have been promoted from Graduate Town Planner level. The Planning Team is known for their ambitious, energetic and enthusiastic people and the business can offer the opportunity to work on some of the UK's most important and high-profile projects.
Job Requirements
-Appropriate degree
-MRTPI status
-Relevant renewables experience
-Enthusiastic and driven approach
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Attention to detail
-Valid driving license and access to a car
