Senior Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working closely with a successful, award-winning Town Planning Consultancy on the hire of a Senior Town Planner for their Winchester. The office has great links by car and is just 1 minute from the train station. This is a permanent position.
The practice has been delivering amazing schemes across the South Coast for over 25 years and has gained a reputation for working on a wide range of large-scale schemes, as well as smaller projects. These projects typically fall in the residential, commercial, industrial and hospitality sectors.
In this role, you will work with national, regional and local housebuilders, Homes England, LPA's, hotels, care operators, commercial property investors, local businesses and home owners. Alongside an experienced and balanced team of Planners you will help provide the following services to your clients;

• Planning appraisals and advice
• Local plan site promotion
• The preparation, coordination, submission and management of planning applications and pre-applications and Section 106 Agreements
• The preparation, coordination, submission and management of planning appeals including public inquiries
• Advice on planning enforcement, including appeals and/or negotiation of a positive outcome wherever possible
• Advice on 'permitted development' and related issues including Prior Approval applications
• Advice on heritage matters including in respect of listed buildings.

In order to apply, you should hold;

• Town Planning (or related) qualification
• MRTPI (or close to submitting)
• Private sector experience beneficial
• Strong development management experience/understanding
• Strong communication skills
• Ambitious and dedicated
• Ability to travel and meet clients (when and where required)
