Senior Town Planner

The Company
The client, one of the largest independent Architecture, Town Planning, Masterplanning Consultancies, is looking for a talented Senior Town Planner to join the team in Leeds. They are a multi-disciplinary who specialise in a various project across Leisure, Commercial, Residential, Renewables, Educational, Land-promotion and Mixed-Used sectors!
The Successful candidate will have excellent opportunities for career development and to demonstrate leadership, decisiveness, pragmatism, communication, and management skills. In addition, experience working in a multidisciplinary team with Urban Designers/Masterplanners is extremely beneficial!

The Position as a Senior Town Planner

• You would be expected to provide accurate and professional planning advice and services in relation to strategic planning policy matters.
• The Senior Planner is also expected to undertake some Business Development activities and play an active role in growing the portfolio of projects.

• Conducting research and undertaking planning appraisals to establish the development of potential of sites.
• Managing associated external consultant team.
• Attending site visits and client meetings

Essential Criteria for the candidate as a Senior Town Planner

• RTPI accredited town planning degree or relevant.
• Previous relevant consultancy experience - Beneficial if you have multi-disciplinary experience working with Urban Designers/Masterplanners!
• MRTPI qualified.
• Have good communication and an enthusiastic mentality.
• Ability to work independently and within the supporting team.
• Ability to work in a fast-faced environment
• UK driving licence.
