Senior Town Planner

The Company
My client, an integrated Planning and Strategic Communications Consultancy, is looking for a dynamic Town Planner to join the office in Birmingham. The Planning team consult some of the largest development projects, with the Strategic Communications team providing a strategic approach to all aspects of each development proposal.
The successful candidate will have excellent career development opportunities and be involved in all aspects of planning across all sectors of built development in the UK and Ireland. You will be such working as part of the larger team and leading your own projects across housing, education, healthcare infrastructure, mixed-use, leisure, commercial, retail and leisure sectors.
The Position of a Senior Town Planner
As a Senior Town Planner, you must be able to work in a team environment, manage competing demands, and prioritise tasks for themselves and others, with the key aspect being to meet clients' expectations. You will be meaningfully engaged in all work streams of work, an active member of the team and a mentor to junior staff. It is essential that you are self-assured, and confident, enjoy the prospect of developing their client base and make a real contribution to the prosperity of the Company and themselves.

Essential Criteria for the candidate as a Senior Town Planner

• RTPI accredited town planning degree or relevant.
• Either hold or working towards Chartered Membership of the RTPI.
• Excellent report writing, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within the supporting team.
• Solution-focused
• UK driving licence.
