SalaryPenguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an independent planning consultancy on the hire of a Senior Town Planner to their team in the North East (soon to move into new premises in Newcastle!). This is a permanent position.
Our client provides pragmatic, commercially astute and clear town planning support to a wide variety of both private and public sector clients nationwide.
As a Senior Town Planner, you will provide support to the wider planning team on planning applications and projects across a mix of sectors such as housing, commercial, roadside, industrial, healthcare, education, energy and minerals and waste.
Working in a small but experienced and growing team of planners (inside a larger wider team of 50), you will provide the following services to your clients;
- Community Engagement
- Environmental Impact Assessments
- Planning Appeals
- Land and Site Promotion
- Local Plan Consultation
- Mineral Safeguarding Assessment
- Planning Strategy formulation
- Planning Due Diligence
- Permitted Development Rights
- Planning Applications
- Planning Obligation Negotiations
- Site Identification
Qualifications & Experience Required
- An RTPI-accredited degree or Masters in a related discipline.
- MRTPI status (or close to submitting)
- Commensurate experience at Senior Town Planner level.
- Good communication skills.
- Solid report writing skills.
- Understanding of the UK planning process.
Salary / Benefits
