Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the triage process for children referred to our services, assessing their needs, and coordinating appropriate interventions. You will play a crucial role in identifying children at risk and ensuring they receive timely support and assistance. The right candidate will have proven experience working with children who have suffered from domestic abuse, and trauma.

Responsibilities:

. Act as the first point of contact for clients referred in to the service, ensuring that comprehensive impact and risk assessments are completed and tailored to each clients needs.

. Ensure that agreed processes are used to contact victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence.

. Carry a caseload of clients who require more immediate and short term interventions referring on those with more long term needs either internally or externally.

. Ensure each victim receives an individual appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs.

. respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns including both child protection and vulnerable adult issues.

. maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service.

. Ensure that all clients are aware of their rights under the victims code of practice and the witness charter.

. comply and keep up to date with date protection legislation, confidentiality and organisational policies and procedures as well as all legislation connected to your work.

. To work with the client and other statutory and voluntary agencies to address the identified needs.

To apply for the role:

. Must have at least one year's UK experience working with young adults and children with challenging behaviours and domestic abuse.

. Have an accurate understanding of adolescent's development, trauma informed care and evidence-based interactions.

. Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

. Have an enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willing to process a new one through Prospero

. Be able to provide an up-to-date CV that dates back to education with dates for all employment.

. Be able to provide 3 years professional references.
