An excellent opportunity has become available for a Senior Urban Designer to join a growing consultancy in their Cambridge office. Taking on projects across the East of England and potentially internationally, you will take the lead on creating practical and visually pleasing places and landscapes.
Working 08:30-17:30, Monday to Friday, the offered salary for this position is up to £45,000 dependant on experience.

The day to day
- Demonstrating an advanced understanding of planning and urban design concepts, building typologies, critical dimensions and systems, utility and infrastructure systems, land development imperatives and planning / zoning codes, and phasing and implementation techniques.
- Enriching design concepts through sophisticated knowledge, demonstrated research acumen, and expert application of technical, visualisation, and other sophisticated communication strategies.
- Working in collaboration with team members to develop clear and consistent work plans that delivery on project budgets & goals.
- Exhibiting initiative, process innovation, problem solving, and decision-making quality with a high attention to precision and accuracy at a project level.
You will have/be
- Previous experience in conceptual landscape and master planning design.
- Able to consistently demonstrates a highly disciplined and effective work ethic.
- Experience with all RIBA stages and running projects.
- Confidence in dealing with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency with Adobe Suite and AutoCAD.
- A creative mindset with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
- Chartered status with a Built Environment professional body.
