However you don’t need an encyclopaedia knowledge or experience of Porsche mechanics (although it's a benefit). We’re after Technicians from all backgrounds who demonstrate the passion and enthusiasm to join a very special team.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Technician to join our team at Autofarm.

As a Senior Technician, you will be crucial in servicing and repairing customer vehicles, ensuring they are safe and in optimal condition. Your responsibilities will also include pre-preparation for MOT, fault diagnosis, and various other tasks related to vehicle maintenance and customer satisfaction.

• High-Level Diagnosis: Conduct full in-depth methodical diagnosis of both mechanical and electrical issues, applying your extensive experience and common sense to tackle complex problems effectively.

• Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail and a methodical approach in all diagnostic and repair tasks, ensuring the utmost precision and accuracy.

• Road Testing: Perform road tests to conduct detailed fault diagnosis and verify the effectiveness of repairs and adjustments made to vehicles.

• Vehicle Electrics: Possess a deep understanding of vehicle electrics and electrical systems, enabling you to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.

• Job Specification: Assist the office team in specifying job requirements, estimating time required for execution, and communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle issues and repair recommendations.

• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, helping them develop their skills and knowledge in automotive servicing and repair.

• Specialist Tools: Utilize specialized tools and equipment provided by the company to enhance diagnostic and repair capabilities.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and wear provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary to ensure a safe working environment.

• Extensive experience in automotive servicing and repair, with a proven track record of successfully diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues.

• Proficiency in using specialist tools and equipment.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients and mentor junior technicians.

• A methodical and detail-oriented approach to diagnostic and repair tasks.

• Strong understanding of vehicle electrics.

• Willingness to collaborate with the office team and support in job specification and client communication.

General Info:

Your daily hours will be from 08:00 to 17:00, with a 30-minute lunch break and 15-minute tea break spread throughout the day. We operate the business on a Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional show or open day participation required where needed.
