About the role
As a Regional Volunteering Specialist - CVS team (Compassion Volunteer Speakers), you’ll work with the CVS team manager and our Partnerships Team to grow and develop the network of volunteer speakers. You will work closely with church speakers to increase their engagement and sense of ownership in our shared ministry.
You will implement a regional volunteer speaker development strategy by actively recruiting, selecting, and training local volunteers and leading the local rollout of regional communities of volunteers. Doing this well will equip Compassion UK to release even more children from poverty in Jesus’ name. Moreover, you will be part of Compassion UK’s ongoing strategic campaign drive to generate leads that will activate our neighbour volunteer speakers in collaboration with the Regional, Neighbour Experience and Marketing teams.

The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in volunteer coordination, including recruitment, training, and management.
- Expertise in best practices in volunteer management, awareness of current trends, regulations, and safeguarding considerations.
- Highly collaborative with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Core office/administrative skills, fluent in English, and proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.

Location, hours and benefits
Office-based or Home-based at Compassion House, Fleet, Hampshire, with regular regional travel within the South of England.
Hours:
Full-time – 35 hours per week. over a flexible working pattern with some weekend working
