We're currently recruiting A Senior Goods In Team member to join our dynamic team based at our Cuisine Centre of Operations. We are a leading producer of high-quality food products renowned for their freshness and taste. Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in managing our incoming inventory in a dynamic food manufacturing facility? Join our team as a Goods In Operator and be a crucial part of ensuring the smooth operation of our cold environment production processes.
You will be required to receiving and book in all deliveries, picking of chilled, frozen & ambient materials, carry out the weekly stock take and deputise for the Warehouse Team Manager
We are seeking individuals on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week, initially Monday to Friday however as our contracts grow hours and days of work may be subject to change.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive and inspect incoming goods, verifying quantities and quality against delivery notes.
  • Accurately record and label incoming inventory, ensuring proper documentation and traceability.
  • Safely store incoming Goods In designated storage areas, following FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
  • Collaborate with procurement and production teams to coordinate the timely receipt of materials and ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Goods In area, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation activities as needed.
  • Picking of chilled, frozen & ambient materials
  • Carry out the weekly stock take
  • Deputise for the Warehouse Team Manager
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the packing area, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Follow all relevant procedures and protocols to ensure product integrity and compliance with regulations.
Requirements from you to undertake this role:
  • Forklift Licence Required
  • Previous experience in a packing or manufacturing environment preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience as a Supervisor / Team Leader in a warehouse environment preferably in the food industry.
  • Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods (PPE Provided)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Previous experience in Goods In, warehouse, or logistics operations preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and document information.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in using computerized inventory management systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
