DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an Warehouse Operative (Step up Team Leader) to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:
- Undertake the manual handling, distribution and monitoring of materials in a bulk storage and warehouse environment.
- Assist with the unloading of vehicles and the checking-in of stock. Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves.
- Be responsible for picking specified items from storage or warehouses and prepare them for shipment.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
We'd love to hear from you if you have the following experience but don't hesitate to apply if you don't tick every box on this page - we're great at spotting talent and potential in everyone:
- Previous practical experience as a Warehouse Operative, within a logistics environment or similar role and be familiar with all Manual Handling Procedures (Specify if Desirable or Essential)
- Computer literacy
- FLT Counterbalance is desirable but not essential ( training will be provided)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload
A recognised qualification in Manual Handling or equivalent will be well-received.
