Senior Wintel Active Directory Engineer - Security Cleared

My global end to end IT services company is looking for an experienced Senior Wintel Active Directory Specialist to join a global IT engineering team to provide technical infrastructure design and implementation to its UK Secure Accounts.

With over 10 years experience and expert knowledge of Wintel Active Directory you will have a design, implementation and support background along with the mindset of innovation, automation, customer service and communication skills. Due to the nature of the client work you must have existing security clearance (ideally DV)

The role will require a flexible working ethic and a pragmatic approach to IT Cloud and Platform Project Delivery.

Description of Role

• Provide expert design, implementation and troubleshooting for multi forest Active Directory service (DFS, DNS, WINS, LDAP etc
• Promote and demote domain controllers
• Support AD name resolution technologies (DNS, WINS, DHCP, Infoblox)
• Implement AD security methodologies (JEA, JIT, Delegation models and Tiered Admin model)
• Perform AD schema extensions
• Create PowerShell scripts
• Support Azure AD, AAD-DS and other Azure technologies
• IDAM project delivery & process design
• Simplification of complex IDAM processes & tools
• Maintaining security, standards and high availability of AD architecture
• Design and review any required changes to Active Directory with a specific focus on structure, delegation models, tiering and management.

• Over 10+ years experience as Wintel Active Directory specialist
• Microsoft Windows Server (Apply online only)
• Active Directory and Group Policy
• Role & Functional based Security Delegation and Layers
• DNS,WINS and DHCP
• PKI Services
• SMTP Proxy Servicing
• Firewall management and controls
• DFS, HA, Clustering, SOFS
• RDS, VMWare, vCenter, ESXI, vMotion, HyperV, VMM Terminal Services
• MS Cloud incorporating Exchange, Storage and Shares App serviced
• Citrix deployments incorporating PVS\MCS
• APP-v incorporating Citrix StoreFront
• Powershell Scripting, MBAM/BitLocker/VPN

Desirable Skills

• Any Microsoft / Citrix / VMWare certification
• Wider understanding of client or midrange OSes, networking and security
• HyperV, Azure and Google Cloud
• HP BladeSystem, or similar blade servers / blade chassis and interconnect technologies
• HP Cloud Service Automation, or similar self-service cloud management technology
• HP Server Automation, or similar system configuration / software deployment technology
• Symantec Datacentre Security, or similar security policy enforcement product
• Degree in Computer science/ Engineering / Related Field

Clearance Level

• The ideal candidate must have current valid DV clearance
• If not you will have at laser Disclosure Scotland/ BPSS clearance and be willing to undertake vetting to DV
