Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer

A global provider of high-end consulting and engineering services worldwide are currently recruiting a Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team in Belfast. You will be joining an expert engineering team who provides a wide range of mechanical and Electrical Engineering capabilities to a range of sectors including Healthcare, Highways & Transport, Retail, Commercial, Education and Defence.
Your new role

• Responsible for all aspects of design in the delivery of Electrical Engineering consultancy services for a portfolio of projects
• Responsible for undertaking calculations
• Production of drawings
• Producing specifications and reports
• Carrying out site surveys
• Conducting construction stage duties
• Providing client liaison
• Liaising with members of design/construction teams and any other relevant duties required to comply with project briefs
• Initial site assessments

What you'll need to succeed

• Educated to at least degree level in Electrical Engineering or building services engineering
• Experienced in the delivery of electrical services scope of work across multiple projects, as part of a multi discipline design team. Carrying out any or all stages of electrical design from concept to completion as required by the project
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative and the confidence to make decisions
• Ability to work well collaboratively, both internally and with external partners
• Good verbal communication skills, and a positive attitude
• Knowledge and experience in a range of digital tools including; AutoCAD, AutoDesk Revit,
• Understanding of BREEAM on M&E Services;
• Meet requirements to achieve security clearance for work in security facilities.
• Proven ability to develop designs conscious of energy conservation, sustainability and with a knowledge basis of renewable technologies

Desirable:

• Chartered and member of relevant body (working towards this will be considered)
