Form of workWe are currently working with a major global multidisciplinary consultancy that is seeking a Senior or Principal Hydraulic Engineer to join their branch in Epsom and Ewell, Surrey.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a team player to showcase their expertise on major projects and be at the forefront of developing design methodologies.
The team undertakes hydraulic analysis and design of water/wastewater treatment plants and transfer pipelines for a variety of UK and International Clients. The team also provide specialist hydraulic advice and input into other industry sectors.
The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded civil engineer, technically competent, with exemplary communication skills. This role would support projects in multiple sectors including transportation, energy, and defence.
The broader aspects of this role encompass leading a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high levels of quality. You will also prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals. You will successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
The ideal candidate will be a chartered engineer with signifciant expeirence in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design. Furthermore, you will have experience leading a design team and have sound problkem-solving skills and a pragmatic mindset.
You will possess sound knowledge across a range of other engineering disciplines such as MEICA, Process, Civil. external works design, including utilities, paved and unpaved surfaces, earthworks, access and accessibility, construction logistics, and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices. You will also have demonstrable proficiency in using packages such as HADES, Varisim, WANDA.
