Job title: SEO Content Manager
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Our client, an agile and innovative tech business, are looking for a talented SEO Content Manager to join their growing team. In this role you will be responsible for leading on the development and implementation of their SEO and content strategy, with a focus on improving search rankings, increasing organic traffic and enhancing on-site customer experience.

Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as an SEO Manager or similar role, preferably in an e-commerce setting.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering effective SEO strategies with proven, successful results.
- Advanced user of SEO reporting tools such as SEMRush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics.
- A commercial mindset with a focus on business objectives and performance.
- An interest in sports.
- A target-driven, determined, enthusiastic and highly organised self-starter.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Plan, create and implement an effective SEO strategy built around improving search visibility and traffic to the site.
- Carry out keyword research, competitor analysis and website data analysis to ensure all content efforts are guided by metrics and insights - and to identify new keyword opportunities and trends.
- Maximise SEO visibility and use best practice tools to do so (including SEM Rush, Search Console, Google Analytics etc).
- Managing the mass-production of SEO-friendly copy for category and product pages and other relevant landing pages.
- Work with the Marketing and Development teams to identify and improve on-site customer experience and conversion opportunities.
- Develop and implement effective technical SEO and link building strategies.
- Working closely with the digital marketing team and web development teams to support, develop and deliver an exciting and effective content marketing calendar in line with the SEO strategy.
- Conducting on-page SEO activity such as researching and writing SEO optimised, original, engaging blog content, managing the CMS, fixing technical issues, managing the on-site search engine and optimising meta data.
- Reporting on and analysing SEO performance and amending future plans based on the results.
- Staying on top of SEO and content marketing best practises to identify new opportunities to increase website sessions.
- Producing high-quality writing, editing and proofreading of copy across the site and marketing channels, implementing SEO best practices and supporting with creative campaigns and copywriting for multiple marketing channels.
- Line management responsibility for the Marketing Executive (SEO), setting targets and monitoring performance.
