At their Gloucestershire office, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced SEO Specialist to elevate their online presence through best practices. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in search engine optimization, technical proficiency, strong writing skills, and commercial acumen. While the role covers various aspects of the portfolio, there’s a strong emphasis on enhancing results for villa-related searches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Evaluation: Conduct a comprehensive audit of the website, analysing the technical, structural, content, and back-link profile. Identify issues like toxic links, incorrect tag usage, speed bottlenecks, penalties, or technical obstacles and create development plans.
- On-site Optimization: Implement on-site development plans, including enhancing copy, making technical and structural improvements to improve site accessibility, updating meta data, and optimizing images.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with website developers when required to rectify or improve the site’s architecture, especially regarding speed, to enhance search engine rankings.
- Keyword Research: Review keyword usage and conduct research to enhance it using appropriate tools, all while keeping in mind our target audience and commercial priorities.
- Content Strategy: Create an innovative content strategy for the website, blog, and outreach, which could include creating engaging content like infographics, collages, reviews, videos, interviews, articles, and guest blogs.
- Outreach and Partnerships: Identify and develop relationships with suitable online partners for outreach, ensuring it doesn’t overlap with Red Savannah’s PR activities.
- Leveraging Online Coverage: Collaborate with the team to maximize online coverage for improving rankings.
- Support in Web Development: Provide SEO expertise during web development projects.
- Competitor Analysis: Analyse competitors by identifying key search results competitors and tracking their activities.
- Monthly Reporting: Prepare monthly reports covering SEO activities, results, and plans.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to coordinate activities, ensuring a seamless integration of online and offline campaigns.
- Adaptability: Be prepared to take on any other tasks that may arise in our dynamic and close-knit environment.
Experience and Skills:
- SEO Expertise: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a multi-disciplinary SEO role, whether within an agency or in-house, with a history of generating relevant sales leads.
- Google Proficiency: A deep understanding of significant Google algorithm updates is essential. Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, Google Webmaster Central, and Google Search Console and their reporting tools is a distinct advantage. Holding a Google Analytics Individual Qualification is highly valued.
- Creative Skills: The ability to create engaging content, including infographics, is a plus.
