Service Asset And Configuration Management Engineer

Location: Whiteley, PO15 (2-3 days per week onsite)

Duration: 6-month contract

Role details:-
NATS (National Air Traffic Services) are looking for a contractor to join their existing team of 4, to help set up Configuration Processes & Asset Management for their UK warehouses. Suitable candidates will ideally have experience with SAP (SAP Inventory preferred).
The holder of the job will be an expert in one or more allocated domains of responsibility within the overall Service Asset and Configuration Management area. This includes having significant technical expertise in the supporting toolsets.

Responsibilities will include:

• Within these domains, the job holder is an initial point of escalation for day-to-day issues with the supporting toolsets and the data representation held within these.
• Work closely with end users to achieve their needs, guiding users on how to change and improve the data structures contained within the toolsets and how these map to the technical systems and business processes of NATS ATM Services.
• Participates in improvement and development projects as an expert in how the toolsets within their allocated domains and data under management inside the toolsets represents the broader ATM Services, supporting systems and the NATS business.
• Responsible for liaison with internal experts, internal suppliers, end users and other stakeholders.
• Configuration: Warehouse configuration including bar coding and material management data set up.
• Data interrogation.
• Extract SAP reports and develop Inventory KPI Dashboards.
• Creating Asset Management
• Responsible for Knowledge Management within the allocated domain(s) using the standard NATS tools.
• As an expert in the allocated domain(s), responsible for investigating and resolving problems that occur. Carries out small scale fixes within allocated domain(s), escalates where necessary.
• Responsible for low impact service improvements.

What we are looking for in you:

• The ideal candidate will have a background / knowledge of warehouse and logistics.
• Holds Industry certifications relevant to the domain(s) e.g. relevant ITIL, SAP or ServiceNow certification.
• Significant technical knowledge of systems relevant to domain(s) allocated, e.g. SAP, ServiceNow.
