Job summary
The Development and Partnerships department at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Service Change Business Partner to support the Trust in delivering service improvements to ensure we deliver excellent care at the heart of the community. The post holder will support the design and delivery of an agreed programme of works, working with a range of professionals across the health and social care sector in Sussex.
Key requirements;
- Strong influencer and communicator- able to flex style and gain trust with a range of differing stakeholders e.g. general managers, clinical service managers, clinical staff, commissioners, external providers.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand a range of different services and care pathways, maintaining a curiosity that provides a healthy challenge to our partners.
- Strong governance, Service Change or project management skills to support design and delivery of Service Change.

This post is either full time or part-time working over at least 3 days per week. Days worked are flexible and to be agreed upon job offer.
Main duties of the job
Service Change Partners work with clinical services to prepare services to respond effectively to required changes, quality improvements and our Trust's strategic objectives.
The post holder will provide expertise and leadership in driving forward projects along side project sponsors and senior responsible officers. This will be done though:
- Developing and managing project plans and business cases within the departments portfolios as set by our executive committee.
- Working and influencing, as appropriate, a range of professionals across the Sussex Integrated Care System to ensure best care and delivery.
- Analysing and evaluating a range of information to inform Service Change proposals.

The Department of Development and Partnerships works across a range services and business partners, providing expertise in change and project management. Some of projects we have recently supported include:
- Mobilising mass vaccination centres to support the Sussex Covid-19 Vaccination Programme.
- Supporting expansion of our mental health services.
- Reviewing delivery of our inpatient services.
- Developing our pre-school nurseries to support our workforce.
- Working with primary care to enhance care in care homes.
Our department is based at the Trust's head office, Brighton General Hospital, with the team working a mixture of home and office working. Occasional travel across Sussex is required when project support requires this. We have access to a pool of Trust hire cars to support this.
