Service Desk Engineer

Are you passionate about providing exceptional IT support and resolving technical issues in a dynamic environment? Join our growing team as a Service Desk Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT services. This position involves a blend of technical troubleshooting, end-user support, and on-site installations, making it a perfect fit for those who thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently handle 1st/2nd line issues and service requests via phone and email.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and aim for first-contact issue resolution whenever possible.
  • Administer O365 and contribute to Networking and Security Projects.
  • Maintain backup systems for seamless data protection.
  • Collaborate with the IT Team to escalate and follow up on complex issues and requests.
  • Respond to inquiries about the status of incident/service request tickets and conduct necessary follow-ups.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation, knowledge articles, and user guides.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to travel between various sites to provide on-site support and installation.

Essential:

  • Office 365 Administrator
  • Azure
  • Networking
  • Proven track record of 1-3 years' experience on a high-volume support desk.
  • Exceptional customer service, stakeholder management, and third-party management skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding time management skills and self-motivation to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and applications quickly.
  • Proficient understanding of Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019.
  • Installation and configuration expertise in software.
  • Full UK Driver's license and access to your own vehicle.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of VOIP systems.
  • Understanding of networking (CompTIA Network+ or CCNA).
  • Awareness of Cyber Security practices.
