We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer preferably with aerospace experience to service, inspect and repair equipment on site and at customer bases throughout the UK and Worldwide. The successful candidate must be comfortable with working away from home.

We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer preferably with aerospace experience to service, inspect and repair equipment on site and at customer bases throughout the UK and Worldwide. The successful candidate must be comfortable with working away from home.

Responsibilities

  • To clean, service, maintain, repair, overhaul, test and re-test as per the customer schedule
  • To carry out a visual inspection of the customer equipment and record any damaged or missing parts in conjunction with the customer drawing or the OEM specification.
  • To ensure that key dimensions on the customer equipment has been measured to ensure compliance to customer drawings using electronic measuring equipment, then recording the results in the ERP System.
  • To update the results of the work carried out on the equipment onto the customers computer system.
  • To perform final inspection.
  • To attend performance meetings with manager and customer(s)
  • To ensure company quality systems are adhered to always.
  • To perform the services with a high degree of skill, care and diligence and in accordance with good industry & customer(s) practices.

Personal Profile

Person Specification

  • Time served engineer, preferably from an aerospace or Utility background
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Effective administrator with good written & oral communication skills and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of gauge insight an advantage
  • Ability to liaise with Production and Managers to achieve customers’ demands
  • Ability to read customer drawings
  • CMM and Faro arm experience advantageous
  • Experience in Aberlink and Tutor software also an advantage
  • Ability to present concepts to an audience in a variety of settings.
  • Able to adopt a flexible approach to work and react effectively to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Able to work under own initiative and with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Knowledge of IT systems, particularly MS Office applications.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering on customer requirements and against agreed deadlines.
  • Would need to pass a Full DBS and security check, as this position involves working on military bases.

    Tuesday: 07:30 - 16:30
    Wednesday: 07:30 - 16:30
    Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30
    Friday: 07:30 - 13:00
