Job description

Job Summary
To arrange, plan, organise, deliver a variety of Employability training courses. These could be generic job search, confidence and motivation programmes, or literacy and numeracy, to ensure that customers have the appropriate experience and practical skills to move into employment, training, or further education. To maintain paperwork (both electronic and paper based) and other documentation which may be required to a high standard. To job match customers to vacancies, arrange employer visits and work placement opportunities for customers with a view to them securing employment. To conduct one to one Action Planning and review meetings to ensure customers are focused on securing employment. To be responsible for achieving targets set by the Line Manager to ensure we meet contractual obligations. To be flexible in relation to delivery location to cover the contract areas.

Person Specification
Education & Qualifications:
Essential –
·Level 2 English and Maths as a minimum
·PTTLS or equivalent trainer / teaching certification.
Overseas equivalent qualifications will be accepted.

Knowledge & Experience:
Essential –
·Experience of delivering training and/or teaching people of all ages (minimum 1 – 2 years)
·Previous experience of working with individuals claiming income support and incapacity benefit and the barriers they face
·Knowledge of Jobcentre Plus programmes and incentives for unemployed people
·A commitment to equality / diversity, health & safety (including Safeguarding) and experience of delivering appropriate related strategies
·Internal auditing to ensure all submitted claims pass the compliance check and do not exceed a 5% error rate.

·Good administrative skills
·Ability to work on an outreach basis
·Excellent interpersonal skills
·Computer literate, with a knowledge of filing, record keeping and recording outcomes
·Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

·Ability to self-manage.
