12 Week Fixed Term Contract
The School of Employability at South Thames College are now seeking a Sessional Lecturer - ESOL.
You will teach ESOL to entry level adult learners who work as part of the Facilities team at Battersea Power Station, using a variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies that meet the individual needs of all learners. You will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to ensure learners are gaining a positive learning experience, all members of the group are respected, are able to participate and ultimately, achieve their qualifications.
This course will be delivered at Battersea Power Station in their available training rooms.
The role requires availability to deliver classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:15pm-5:45pm. The course will run from 10th April 2024 to 26th June 2024, excluding Bank Holidays. There will be no half term break.
We’d like our Sessional Lecturer to hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject and have excellent teaching skills in ESOL, across all levels. You will have a thorough understanding of the quality assurance cycle and your role in it, as well as experience of working to meet Awarding Organisations’ standards.
Experience of delivering ESOL Ascentis qualifications at entry level is desirable.
