The Creative Industries School at Kingston College are now seeking Sessional Lecturers in the following subject areas;
Media
3D Design
The Sessional Lecturer – Media is expected to deliver exciting and industry relevant skills and knowledge to students on our popular practical Level 3 vocational courses. A dynamic, pro-active and highly organised individual, you will hold a degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject and have a secure technical understanding of practical film production, camera and lighting and video editing, as well as good knowledge and ability to teach fictional and factual narrative storytelling within different formats and genres. Previous teaching experience is essential, preferably within the FE sector.
This role is initially needed to take over existing teaching in-year (2023-2024), which is currently 4 hours every Monday (12:00 until 16:30). It is anticipated that more teaching hours will be needed in the future with the expected growth of media provision at the College.
The Sessional Lecturer3D Design is expected to deliver exciting, industry relevant skills and knowledge to students on our Level 3 vocational design courses. This role requires a dynamic, pro-active, highly organised individual who holds a degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant 3D Design discipline such as Architecture, Product and Furniture Design or Industrial Design. You will have a broad understanding of past, current and future design and be able to support and motivate students in developing their specialist skills and understanding. You will have previous teaching experience and be expected to plan, teach, and assess your subject specialism within the relevant qualification frameworks.
This role is initially needed to take over existing teaching in-year (2023-2024), which is currently 4.5 hours every Friday (10:00 until 15:30).
