Sessional Lecturer – Quilt making

About Morley College London We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and skilled individual to work as part of our Textile team at the Waterloo Centre. Join us to deliver courses in contemporary and traditional Quilt making at beginner and intermediate levels. Develop projects that will inspire creativity and help students refine their  skills. You will be working as part of the Morley College Visual Art Department working closely with the Programme Manager, teaching staff, students and others as the need arises. About the role This core subject area within the Textile department has consistently attracted new and returning students and offers a progression route on from the Textile Foundation for those wishing to extend their textile skills. The focus is on contemporary quilting with design innovation and sustainability as key themes. We also have a requirement for traditional skills as these are also popular with our students. The role holder will be able to deliver specialist Textile skills including traditional and contemporary Quilt making, screen printing, resist pattern techniques such as shibori, dyeing methods using natural and synthetic dyes, machine and hand sewing and inspirational design development.   How to Apply Closing date: 9am Monday 5th  February 2024 Interview date: Monday 12th February 2024 Morley College London is an Equal Opportunities employer.
