Job description

South Thames College are now seeking an inspiring and ambitious Sessional Teacher.
Within this role, you will teach ESOL across all levels to learners 19+ using a variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies that meet the needs of all learners. The role also includes providing language/literacy support to ESOL adult students in the form of literacy/language support. You will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to ensure learners are gaining a positive learning experience, all members of the group are respected, are able to participate and ultimately, achieve their qualifications.
Availability to work at least one evening per week is a must.
As a Sessional Teacher, you’ll hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject and have excellent current teaching skills in ESOL, across all levels. You’ll have experience of working to meet Awarding Organisations’ standards and be receptive to new ideas and initiatives, with a creative approach to problem solving.
Experience of providing efficient Additional Learning Support in a variety of settings is desirable, but not essential.
