Sessional Workers Required- Green Fingers Team
Salary: £12.59 - £13.47 per hour plus 14.49% enhanced rate
Casual / Relief 
Location: County Hall, Worcester


The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Green Fingers project team on a sessional basis to provide cover when needed. Green Fingers is a project for Worcestershire Looked After Children based within the Anchor emotional health and well-being service. The project offers alternative curriculum support and activities that are therapeutically beneficial to children and young people.

You will be based on the Green Fingers site in Worcester. The work is varied, and you will be required to deliver a variety of activities for young people such as arts, music, gardening, fishing, cooking, woodwork, outdoor education, yoga, sensory and imaginative play, Lego therapy, forest school / bushcraft, nature, and wildlife activities etc. Previous experience of working in these or a similar setting would be advantageous. The work is sessional but can be offered on a more regular basis ranging from a minimum of 3 hours to a full day several times throughout the week depending upon your availability.


Key Requirements:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual who has experience of working with young people in one-to-one and group settings and are able to plan and deliver activities. You will need to be able to build rapport and motivate young people, to support their individual needs, some of whom will display challenging behaviours and have attachment difficulties and/or additional needs. Proven abilities of working as a team member and evidence of maintaining an adaptable, flexible, and responsive approach is essential. Successful candidates will be able to work autonomously and will make a real difference to children and young people in Worcestershire.
