Keynsham Youth Centre, TimeOut is a venue for young people delivering open access youth work in Keynsham and the surrounding area. It boasts excellent music facilities including a recording studio and offers young people a variety of artistic opportunities including the opportunity to get involved in a Youth Arts Festival.
Purpose
This is a great opportunity to develop a career in Youth Work with a specialism, in music, based within a youth centre, focused on working with young people in Keynsham and the surrounding area. As a sessional Youth Music Worker, you will be responsible of providing quality music education to all young people irrespective for background and experience. This could be working with individuals, small groups or bands across a range of musical genres. Music Workers will develop the musical, personal and creative potential of young people, working with the Music and Community Studio Manager and Youth Workers to deliver a strong music offer to all young people in Keynsham. Music Workers will support young people to develop their musical skills, record using the TimeOut facilities and perform, for example, during a Youth Club session, open mic night, gig, Keynsham Music Festival or a Youth Arts Festival for young people in Keynsham.
