Animal Farm made famous by George Orwell (Adapted by Peter Hall, with Lyrics by Adrian Mitchell and music by Richard Peaslee) is the latest production with young people from the Lichfield Garrick Theatre.
This Peter Hall adaptation is fresh, funny, and remains as relevant as ever. When the animal's revolt and procure a farm for themselves, the new revolution swiftly begins to sour, as it is discovered that some animals are more 'equal' than others.
Animal Farm is Lichfield Garrick's first production following a move from Young REP to the Young Garrick Productions. YGP welcomes between 15 and 30 young people, aged between 14-25, encouraging people from all backgrounds, supported by a professional creative team.
We have an opportunity for an experienced designer / maker to join the creative team, who will be tasked with providing; a model box submission and detailed set design to send for build within the required schedule. The role also includes the design, making/sourcing and fitting of costumes for our 19 cast members.
The ideal candidate will have experience of Set and Costume design within a professional theatre setting and will be able to provide a portfolio or examples of their previous work. The candidate will also have experience of working within set agreed budgets and deadlines.
