Role: Setting Out Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled Setting Out Engineer to join our client, a leading construction team.

As a Setting Out Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate measurements and positions on construction projects.
With your expertise, our projects will remain on track and align with architectural plans.
Your attention to detail and ability to use surveying instruments will be instrumental in guaranteeing the precision of our construction work.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct surveys to establish reference points and elevations


• Set out sites and excavations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with architectural plans


• Use surveying instruments such as total stations and GPS receivers to measure angles, distances, and heights


• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to interpret technical drawings and specifications


• Monitor and control the accuracy of construction site activities, making necessary adjustments when required


• Coordinate with subcontractors and construction teams to ensure efficient project execution


• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members when needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field


• 3+ years of experience as a Setting Out Engineer in the construction industry


• Proficient in using surveying instruments, including total stations and GPS receivers


• Solid understanding of architectural plans and technical drawings


• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills


• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities


• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines


• Knowledge of relevant software and applications, such as AutoCAD
