This project is expected to be a landmark development in the region, and we are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Setting Out Engineer to contribute to its success.
The Opportunity: As a Freelance Setting Out Engineer, you will be an integral part of our project team, bringing precision and expertise to the forefront of our construction efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precise Setting Out of various structures, including bridges, tunnels, and RC frames, ensuring accuracy and adherence to technical specifications.
- Collaborating with the project management team to ensure quality assurance (QA) standards are met throughout the construction process.
- Providing technical guidance and support to onsite teams, including problem-solving and decision-making in challenging situations.
- Utilising advanced surveying equipment and software to maintain high levels of accuracy in measurements and layouts.
- Preparing and maintaining clear, detailed reports and records of site activities and progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a focus on geomatics or surveying.
- Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer in heavy civil construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and QA procedures.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment and CAD software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
Contract Details:
- This is a freelance position with a contract duration of one year or more, subject to project requirements.
