Our client are seeking a skilled and motivated Setting Out Engineer for an exciting short-term project based in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an immediate start, offering a competitive hourly rate of £27-30 per hour, along with accommodation and travel expenses covered.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct site surveys and Setting Out activities to ensure accurate placement of structures and elements.
* Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to execute precise measurements.
* Collaborate with project managers, architects, and construction teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
* Utilise modern surveying equipment and software to achieve accurate and reliable results.
* Monitor and report on the progress of Setting Out activities, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations on the construction site.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer in construction projects.
* Proficient in using surveying equipment and software.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on precision in Setting Out activities.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
* Immediate availability for a 6-8-week assignment.
