Setting Out Engineer

Search are currently looking for a Setting Out Engineer based in the Edinburgh area. You will be an integral part of the on-site team tasked with delivering a quality project, on budget, safely and on time.
Job Role:
* Assisting in the preparation and Setting Out of construction sites and projects
* Providing support to the site engineer in surveying and marking out the site accurately
* Ensuring that the construction plans and specifications are followed correctly
* Assisting in the supervision and coordination of construction activities
* Working with construction equipment and tools to set out markers, levels, and reference points
* Providing technical support and guidance to construction teams on site
* Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure accurate Setting Out
* Conducting quality control checks to ensure compliance with project requirements.
* Keeping accurate records of site measurements, layouts, and as-built drawings
Requirements:
* A degree or diploma in civil engineering or a related field required
* Experience in Setting Out and surveying in a construction environment is preferred
* Proficiency in using surveying instruments and equipment
* Good knowledge of construction plans, drawings, and specifications
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and calculations
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with various stakeholders
