SalaryWe are recruiting for a Sewing Machinist to join a UK manufacturer near Wincanton, Somerset.
Experience is a bonus but is not essential for this job. Instead, we are looking for someone who has an interest in textiles who will enjoy learning new skills and be committed to their training.
What you will do as Sewing Machinist.
The company will train you to machine stitch fabric products together from cut pieces into finished products. You will cut fabric pieces from pattern templates, overlock, sew, and finish items and pack them for retail. Working from job specific instructions means that you need a head for both imperial and metric measurements. You’ll learn about the cutting and production of the full product range.
We are searching for someone who is willing to learn, happy to concentrate for lengthy periods and keen to be involved in the complete process, from cutting, sewing, and packaging.
Working pattern
You will be working in a friendly environment, close to the town’s amenities. Hours are 7am to 3pm but there may be flexibility in hours or part time options available.
