Between 200 - 350 per day (dependant on experience)

Temporary - 6-month contract

Tate are working with a local authority in search for an experienced SharePoint Administrator to support with an upcoming data migration project.

As a SharePoint Administrator you will be working alongside the project manager and other members of the SharePoint team to organise the re-structuring and migration of data from file shares to SharePoint online.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support, end-user training and detailed documentation on SharePoint and its integration with other services in the Microsoft 365 platform.
  • Work directly with document owners to collate information on the existing file share and agree files to delete or migrate to SharePoint; ensuring engagement with end users is maintained to capture the users' requirements, identifying and resolving technical issues and user-reported problems.
  • Manage the project migration mailbox for any queries from users regarding their migration to SharePoint.
  • Produce migration records documentation, identifying files and folders to be migrated or deleted, and agreeing which SharePoint site or alternative cloud platform to migrate too.
  • Review the existing SharePoint platform and identify sites no longer in use, and working with end users, agree which sites that can be deleted.
  • Keep up to date with SharePoint developments and ensure you are getting the most out of the SharePoint platform.

Knowledge, skills, and experience

  • 3 years' experience working as a SharePoint administrator within a large organisation and will have worked on similar migration projects.
  • Experience with data retention, workflows, PowerShell and file share permissions.
  • Experience of using migration tools and/or Power Automate would be beneficial.
