We are currently looking for a SHEQ Coordinator to join the team at our Head Offices in Abergavenny. Due to the nature of the role, we are open to applications from candidates who live in; or can commute from some of the following areas: Newport, Cardiff, Swansea, Penarth, Barry, Porthcawl, Neath, Usk, Aberdare, Merthyr Tydfil, Llanfoist, Bristol, Chepstow, Pontypridd.

Role Responsibility
Reporting to the head of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality, the SHEQ Coordinator will work closely with the SHEQ team and other Senior Business Managers to coordinate all SHEQ processes. You will also monitor all recorded SHEQ related incidents and coordinate the investigations as required.
On a day to day basis, the responsibilities of the SHEQ Coordinator will include the following (not exhaustive):
- Maintaining and reporting relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on the performance on the various SHEQ management systems, including incident, near miss / close calls statistics and non-conformance statistics across all business streams
- Producing management reports, collating data, and updating reports
- Collating monthly SHEQ communications in readiness to communicate to the business
- Managing the SHEQ team SharePoint for sites
- Coordinating with site teams to ensure all SHEQ inspections actions are closed out
- Managing the notifications and reporting of RIDDOR accidents to the HSE
- Assists in the implementing and maintaining of the certification of ISO 9001, ISO45001 and ISO14001
- Raising SHEQ purchase orders
- Managing the SHEQ Team email account
- Promote a positive health and safety culture across the Group
The Ideal Candidate
The successful SHEQ Coordinator will be someone who has ideally has prior experience within the Construction industry and namely within a safety, health or environmental capacity.
You will ideally have a recognised qualification within health and safety, environmental or quality or at least be willing to work towards such a qualification.
You must be a strong team player who can demonstrate strong customer service skills, be versed in Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint and be able to plan, prioritise and organise your own workload.
