Form of workElevation Recruitment Group are exclusively partnered with a leading multi-million pound organisation who are looking for an experienced SHEQ Manager for 2 of their recently acquired, South Yorkshire based manufacturing sites
Reporting directly into the Technical Director, the business are looking for a SHEQ Manager with a strong technical competency and legislative knowledge of EHS and Quality.
This role will support employees across the company in promoting a positive culture through strong leadership and utilisation of best practices. With a range of products and processes across their sites, the business are looking for an experienced SHEQ Manager that has a hands on approach and is confident in delivering cultural improvements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Review and develop all aspects of health, safety and environment policy and activities
• Monitor, evaluate and review existing, new and upcoming Health & Safety, and Environmental legislation and ensure the business has appropriate systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance
• Work proactively with managers and other key staff to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement in the management of Health & Safety, and Environment within their areas of responsibility which includes conducting regular audits
• Discuss areas for improvement with relevant staff and/or external bodies and agree appropriate corrective action
• Work with external suppliers to provide monitoring, measuring, control and improvements to the site based on environmental and energy objectives
• Keep up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health & Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry
• Management of ISO19001 accreditation, with strong understanding of ISO14001 and ISO45001
I’m keen to speak to individuals with the following skillset:
• Proven experience of working in HSEQ within a manufacturing environment
• NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum
• Knowledge and experience of working with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards
