SHEQ Manager
Paddock Wood, Kent
£40,000 - £48,000pa + Benefits
Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
KHR has partnered with a reputable distributor who is looking to hire an experienced SHEQ Manager permanently.
As SHEQ Manager you will hold responsibility for all Company Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures, ensuring the business is compliant and meets the necessary standards in order to ensure accreditation to external bodies.
Roles and Responsibilities of the SHEQ Manager will include:
- Providing updates on any Health, Safety, and Quality issues to the senior team
- Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Quality, Environmental and
- Health & Safety Management systems in accordance with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards/requirements
- Oversee external audits and inspections (ISO Audit, FORS Audits)
- Maintain the schedule of internal audits for ISO Quality, Environment, and H&S
- Oversee the H&S and Q&E Management Teams
- Responsible for all Health and Safety Operational Processes: RAMS, CoSHH Risk Assessments, Fire Risk Assessment
- Conduct ToolBox Training
- Conduct regular H&S work-place checks - Fire Safety Checks/Slip, Trips Checks, and DSE
Checks, to detect existing or potential Health and Safety hazards
- Prepare and maintain the FORS Bronze and Silver accreditation
- Prepare, review, and update Company policies
- Ensure that Company is compliant with the Packaging Waste Regulations
- Manage a selection of Supplier Portals
- Prepare and co-ordinate Induction Training
- Maintain employee's training records
- Calculate annually the Carbon Footprint of the business
- Oversee First Aid
The ideal candidate will have significant experience and knowledge of H&S legislation and
practices, a proficient understanding of internal quality procedures and ISO requirements, and experience managing a team of people to ensure standards are met.
