Job Title: Shift Maintenance Engineer
Salary up to £40K per annum
Hours: 42 per week rotated shifts - 12 hours
Location: Ceredigion, West Wales
Our client, a family-owned, fast-growing International Dairy Business, is looking for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to work at their site based in Ceredigion, West Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventive and reactive maintenance of process equipment comprising of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, instrumentation, control systems, CIP and steam systems.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the key responsibilities for the role are:
· To carry out preventive maintenance on all processes
· To carry out reactive maintenance when a breakdown of a process or any plant occurs, to endeavour to carry out the repair with a methodical approach to fault finding and carry out all works on a ‘Right First Time’ basis
· Reporting all relevant data, providing accurate information of work done, time on the job, and parts used
· To raise a permit to work or a hazard awareness form before commencing work to ensure all hazards that may cause a risk to health and safety are identified and reduced/eliminated
· To lock off any process before commencing any invasive work that may create a health & safety hazard
· To work safely and report all H&S incidences if and when they occur
· To use the engineering library to gain knowledge of equipment/processes
· To carry out all works on site either in the workshops or on the shop floor working to the ‘Clean-as-you-go’ policy
Essential skills and experience include:
· ONC Engineering or equivalent in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
· Time served apprenticeship in an industrial environment (preferably dairy or food or beverage manufacturing)
· Planning and Organisation skills
· Problem Solving
· Learning and Improving
· Teamwork and Communication skills
· Adapting to Change
· Computer literate
· Self-motivated
· Patient and level-headed

The working hours for this site-based role are 7am – 7pm or 7pm to 7am days and night shifts on a rota basis. The salary is up to £40K, plus excellent benefits.
