The vast majority of Husqvarna’s robotic lawnmowers and are manufactured at their flagship Newton Aycliffe site in County Durham.
The opportunity
Following a period of extensive investment in new technology & automation on the site, Husqvarna are looking to recruit an experienced Shift Manager into their Production Management team.
As Shift Manager you will work as part of a new Shift Management Team and have responsibility for the effective and efficient management of a high quality production process, working collaboratively across multiple functions. You will continually identify and action opportunities for improvement, with a particular focus on Lean techniques and you will support the development of new manufacturing processes to support the sites new product launches as they continue to build on and cement their market position.
In your role you will have high level people focus, leading engagement and driving positive culture across the manufacturing function through relevant training, coaching and development to maximise performance across the plant.
About you
As an experienced Shift Manager you will have a strong background in driving efficiencies and productivity through your teams, along with an deep understanding of how to manufacture complex products in a high volume manufacturing plant. You will be values driven with previous experience in coaching and developing Team Leaders and Operational teams, with a proven track record in the application of lean manufacturing principles to maximise performance in the plant.
