We are looking for a full-time, permanent, Shift Manager to join us at our reverse operation in Southampton, working alongside our customer, Tesco. This is a fast paced, busy operation handling all returned products and equipment from their stores.
You’ll be working on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, rotating Days and Nights.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £33,500.00 per annum. In addition, we offer 22 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Oversee the running of the tray wash and recycling operation on the night shift
- Ensure that the site is utilising resource effectively, monitoring headcount, efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Promote and develop a health and safety culture on site in line with the company’s policies
- Get involved with performance management, KPI monitoring and drive continuous improvement initiatives
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- A warehouse operational management background
- An excellent understanding of health and safety policies and procedures
- Experience of leading teams, providing guidance, coaching, mentoring and creating development plans
- The ability to communicate effectively in both a written and verbal capacity
